The mission of the AEMI Education Fund (AEMF) is to establish and provide funding for education, research, and resource development of educational products and programs for the global special events industry.

How to be involved

AEMF Vision

Through funding, the American Event Management Institute Education Fund will be the preeminent change agent to direct the growth and development of the special events industry.

Grant Program

Purpose:
To provide funds to assist in the development of educational resources and execution of programs for the special events profession.

Criteria:
Grants are awarded for programs and products that: advance the special events industry, benefit AEMI students, are educational in scope and perspective, are non-proprietary, and are made available to all AEMI students and memebrs.

Grant Considerations:
Basic requirements to consider when submitting grants requests:

  • Applicant must clearly define the purpose of the program or project
  • Applicant must clearly define key goals and objectives of the project
  • Applicant must supply a detailed financial model for the project
  • Deliverables of the grant should advance the special events industry
  • Deliverables of the grant will benefit a significant portion of the ISES membership
  • Deliverables of the grant should be educational in scope and perspective
  • Deliverables of the grant should not be proprietary and will be made available to the students of AEMI.
  • Deliverables of the grant should not discriminate against any group nor directly benefit any one group
  • Deliverables of the grant cannot be used wholly for economic gain
  • Deliverables of the grant cannot create any liabilities for the Foundation nor any business relationships unless previously agreed upon
  • All deliverables of the grant are credited to AEMI absent any previous agreement
  • Applicant must be a 501(c)(3) organization

AEMI Scholarship Program

Purpose:
To provide educational assistance to deserving individuals pursuing certificates and degrees in the special events profession.

Criteria:
AEMI Scholarship evaluations are all based on candidate education, grade point average, career goals, work history, community involvement, special events industry activities, and recommendations from professors, advisors and current ISES members.

The application deadline for all 2007 AEMI scholarship awards is June 30, 2006. Contact AEMI to obtain scholarship application.

AEMI Certificate Program Scholarship

AEMI Certificate Program scholarship which is worth $2000 was originally established in 2004 as the Event Management Certificate Program Scholarship through a gift from the internationally-acclaimed event producer, David Lopp. Its purpose was to recognize exceptional achievement in the field of entertainment event management. Scholarship recipients were selected based on academic achievement, course of study, and experience in the entertainment event management field.

  • AEMF is a volunteer-run fund which relies of the skills, talents and resources of individuals to support its mission. No contribution of time, energy or money is insignificant!
